Working on Pioneer medal

This afternoon I had 3 spare hours to fill while waiting for my friends.
So I decided to work on my poor Pioneer stat a little.

Fifth time, improved op

Yesterday I spoke about how I did the same operation for the fourth time.
It lasted all night long and a good part of this morning, until a Resistance agent finally decided to destroy it by neutralizing the bottom-left vertex: this allowed me to catch the opportunity to do it for the fifth time and improve it.

And here are the detailed pictures of vertices:
Top anchor
Town: Rosignano Solvay
Left anchors 1
Town: Vada
Left anchor 2
Town: Vada

Left anchors 3
Towns: Vada, Marina di Cecina
Right anchor
Town: Casale Marittimo
Overview of an
engulfed Cecina.
Cecina city was engulfed in a beautiful emeral field for the fifth time at 11:08 PM. :)

[EDIT]: at 08:32 AM on June 18th 2015, 33 hours after the operation, it's all still up! :)

Ooops! I did it again

I did it a first time...
Then I did it a second time...
Then I did it a third time...
And ooops! I did it again:
Cecina enclosed in a field.
I created the left side yesterday and as of today it was still up: so I headed to Casale Marittimo (again, a little town with veeery narrow streets), captured the only portal there and threw the link to the top vertex; then I headed to Marina di Cecina - the bottom vertex  - and linked back to Casale Marittimo.
Single layer, 12760 MU, completed at 09:09 PM CET.
After two hours out with friends, I still had time for some good farming in the central square of Vada:
It's been a good night. :)

Burning the asphalt

It all started when, early this afternoon right after lunch, I took a look at the Intel map to check the situation and I informed my faction mates that I would go for some destruction and AP-gaining action.
One of the target portals would be the Stone Egg located here and pictured on the right.
While I thought that they would all be busy building a good sun tan for this summer, @ToscJones  unexpectedly answered:
«If you captured the Egg, we could close a number of fields on Rosignano Marittimo for the checkpoint of 7:00 PM»
Well, why not... after all, portals in Rosignano Marittimo already were on my destruction plan.
I completed the capture of the Egg and all portals in Rosignano Marittimo at about 03:30 PM and then went visiting some friends; I had all the time to come back on time and patrol Rosignano Marittimo in the imminence of the checkpoint and be prepared to clear any blocking attempt from the Resistance.
05:30 PM, time to tell my friends "see you tonight" and head back to Rosignano Marittimo.
I have all the time to go back home first and take the external battery, just in case.
Right after picking up the battery, @ToscJones pinged me with a quick message:
«We have a problem in Gabbro: a last-minute link is blocking everything.»
Dealing with that little town is a nightmare: in there, 4G is not that stable (although manageable), but the real problem is streets being steep uphill, downhill and narrow.
Also, it was then 5:50 PM and it would take me 20 minutes to go there and 20 minutes to come back (provided traffic allowed it), thus making us very very very tight on schedule as I was the one that had to close the fields in Rosignano Marittimo.
@ToscJones' opinion was «Let's leave it and retry at next checkpoint, you'd have to drive as Hell and that's not very safe».
My opinion, instead, was «Heck, let's try».
So I jumped in my car and burnt the asphalt on the route pictured in blue here on the left.
17.9 Km (11.12 mi).
I did need some adrenalin-pumping music for the driving:
Bon Jovi - One wild night
Nightwish - Deep blue sea
Target reached, blocking link destroyed, portal captured.
Asphalt burnt again to go back to Rosignano Marittimo.
I arrived at the first portal of the fielding sequence at 06:35 PM, I did it, I was on time.
After waiting a couple of minutes not to give away our intentions too soon, @ToscJones proceeded with the first link and I started the fielding sequence.
Multi-layer field completed at 06:50 PM, last successfully until and beyond the checkpoint.
About 320 kMU captured.
This is "Adrenalin Ingress"!
