"Cicirinella" operation

It would appear to be simply my umpteenth nocturnal lone-wolf operation, although it has its own peculiarities: it's the largest I've ever made by myself so far and its mainly impromptu.

It was 6 PM, end of the work day, I left the office, distractly checked the Intel map, saw that my Enlightened faction mates from Livorno and Pisa, a short time earlier, again put up the same operation that worked out pretty well a number of times lately, shouted a "Great work, guys!" in Hangout and went for some quick farming.

I had a couple of errands to do and had little time for Ingress at least before dinner.

After dinner I had go pick up a friend of mine for a bowling night, but I did have some time before that, so I checked the Intel again and, much to my surprise, my faction mates' work was still perfectly up.

"Mmmh", I thought, "maybe I have the keys to add something to it".
And, actually, I did: 2 layers, 17000+ MU, completed at 08:21 PM.

Rosignano Solvay,
entire town incapsulated.
I was pretty happy with the operation itself and for taking a little step toward black Illuminator; so I forgot about it, went to pick up my friend and had a fun time playing a couple of bowling games with her.
Then I drove her back to her place and headed back home; once arrived, I checked the intel and it was still up!
Checkpoint approaching... 3... 2... 1... DING! Midnight!
Green is still everywhere!
Yay!
Here's an overview of my tiny little operation (bottom, mostly transparent) attached to the much larger one from my faction mates (top, very opaque):

And what about the operation name?
Well, this is mainly improptu too: this December I attended the wedding of a close friend of mine, and at the post-wedding party, among all songs, they played "Cicirinella teneva teneva..." by Tequila and Montepulciano band which I did like a lot; this morning I received a call from that friend, he recalled that song, so I purchased it on Google Play Store and listened to it while driving for this operation.

Winning 2015.14

What's special about winning this septicycle?

Check out the eight peaks in the graph: all of them were versions of this operation. Sometimes there were more layers, sometimes there were less layers, but always the same operation.

That's a combination of two factors: super-high intensity on our side for capturing anchors over and over, effective cleaning, availability to field also at odd hours and relentless key farming; super-high disorganization on the Resistance side for unsuccessfully attempting to block that operation every single time.

You'd think that people should learn from experience: all the times we successfully completed that op were not enough experience for the Resistance to get itself together.

On to the next septicycle, now.

Platinum Illuminator

Enlighten the people generally, and tyranny and oppressions of body and mind will vanish like evil spirits at the dawn of day.
Thomas Jefferson
We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light.
Plato

I achieved the last 43 kMU for this medal by closing the second field while repeating the same operation as yesterday for today checkpoint of 07:00 PM.
Thanks to Enlightened agents from Livorno and Pisa for support in this operation!

On a related note: you'd think that, by the third time we completed this operation yesterday, the Resistance would have learned a lesson, but no... their attempts to block us continue to be unsuccessful...

So green, so solid

The title says it all.

Behold, on the left, the overall operation and, on the right, the anchors I captured and key-farmed.
It all lasted 3 checkpoints: 03:00 AM, 08:00 AM and 01:00 PM for a total of ~1,600,000 MU.
The Resistance tried to take it down but we immediately re-created it right on time for the last checkpoint.

I'm so proud and honoured to be a part of this team!

Piercing a hole and filling it

There are people who wait for enemies to leave holes and fill them.
I pierce holes and fill them.

• Top side: 9.1 Km (5.65 mi)
• Left side: 7.2 Km (4.74 mi)
• Right side: 13.3 Km (8.2 mi)
• Layers: 2
• MU: 8853

Completed at 00:17; one more little nocturnal step taken towards Platinum Illuminator (very close, now).

Two more lone-wolf operations

• Op on the left: 2 layers, 21 km (~14 mi) top-bottom distance, 74+ kMU, completed on the night before yesterday.
• Op on the right: 3 layers, 7 km (~4 mi) top-bottom distance, 8+ kMU, completed yesterday night.

Just two more nocturnal lone-wolf operations to advance on the Illuminator path: platinum almost reached.

Winning 2015.12

Back from Easter break, let's speak about 2015.12 septicycle.

It was all a matter of intensity, dedication and high mobility by Enlightened agents, typical of our cell.

After planning the megafields system and aggressively harvesting keys, a cleaning team paved the way and the first instance of the megafields system was brought up, right on time for a checkpoint.

Although the Resistance (expectedly) tried (but failed) to attack it and throw blocking links in order to prevent us from doing it again, we did it again, over and over.

Relentlessly.
Regardless of day and night.

We've also been able to put the megafields system back up three times in less than 12 hours.

Being a part of this is a honour and a pleasure!

Congratulations everybody!
