It is no matter how a portal is hardened by shields, it is no matter how a portal is even more hardened by lots of links and, ultimately, it is no matter who built it up: if I need that portal or it is in the way, I'll simply shatter it down.

Never give up, never stop.

At 11:00 PM, after vanquishing 4 AXA shields and annihilating a good number of blue kMUs, there remained enough empty room: I took one more quick look at the Intel map and decided on the spot that I could go for a little impromptu operation, also using as anchor one of the portals just captured (bottom right in Cecina):

The best part is how I grazed two blue portals:

One day, four times

In my operation, yesterday, I managed to enclose Cecina in a field.

And, as I said in that post, I did it twice because a Resistance agent attacked the left anchor (see picture here on the left): 30 minutes and the field was up again.

So I scored 15+ kMU twice for the Illuminator medal.

The Resistance involved a total of 7 agents against me alone (possibly thinking that it would deter me from trying again...) and kept insisting on the same anchor, so this morning the field was down with some blue barriers up: right after lunch I went out, cleared the barriers and put the same field up again, stacking 15+ kMU once more.

I spent the afternoon visiting a friend of mine and, after dinner, the field was down again, the same anchor got attacked.

Needless to say, by 09:05 PM it was up again, for another 15+ kMU.

That's four times the same field over an entire city in less than 24 hours.

Has it ever dawned upon them that they might attack one of the other anchors (or both of them, why not...) to make everything more difficult for me?

Apparently, no.

Well, whatever... I'm just happy I stacked 60+ kMU and earned a big load of AP by destroying a lot of blocking links and fields.

Level 14 is pretty close now!

"May Day 2015" operation

It's May 1^st, "May Day" national holiday, and I thought I could throw together a little op to celebrate it while having fun outside with family and friends.

Obviously also all other Enlightened faction mates of AF10-SIERRA-10 were busy with their families and friends, so I knew that, whatever I did, would be the umpteenth lone-wolf operation.

So, between a piece of cake and a football game on the grass, I managed to put up this one, also engulfing Cecina which is my birth city.

The Resistance tried to fight back by destroying two anchors but they immediately gave up as I reconquered them and re-fielded right away.

22 Km (13,6 mi) between the top-most anchor and the bottom-most anchor, for a total of 35+ kMU.
